PROGRAM TERMS

This program will be in effect through January 31, 2020. There is no mileage limit for this program.

Affected vehicles are identified in OASIS and FSA VIN Lists.  

 

REASON FOR THIS PROGRAM

In some of the affected vehicles, the park pawl spring may not be seated correctly. This condition could allow the park pawl to contact the park gear while driving, which may accelerate wear and result in an audible noise.

PROGRAM TERMS

This program will be in effect through May 31, 2019 There is no mileage limit for this program.

 

URGENCY / EXPIRATION DATE

This Customer Satisfaction Program has an expiration date of May 31, 2019 to encourage dealers and customers to have this service performed as soon as possible.

We recommend dealers utilize their FSA VIN Lists name and address (available by December 17, 2018) to contact customers with affected vehicles.

REASON FOR THIS PROGRAM

In some of the affected vehicles, the throttle body in the vehicle engine may have been built with a misinstalled torsion spring.  A misinstalled torsion spring may cause illumination of the wrench light or service engine soon indicator with reduced engine power.

REF: TSB 15-0042 6.7L – MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LAMP (MIL) ILLUMINATED – WITH DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTC) P207F, P20EE, P2200, P2201, P2209, P164A, P2A00 AND/OR P0133 – BUILT ON OR BEFORE 10/11/2011

 

PROGRAM TERMS

This program extends the warranty coverage of the NOx sensor to 10 years of service or 110,000 miles from the warranty start date of the vehicle, whichever occurs first.

This program DOES NOT apply to vehicles that qualify for repairs under the New Vehicle Limited

Warranty. Repairs for vehicles covered by New Vehicle Limited Warranty should be claimed using the Labor Operation Codes provided in TSB 15-0042. Additionally, this program may be used multiple times as long as the vehicle is within time and mileage limits of the program. Once the program has expired, SPW and ESP may be eligible.

If a vehicle has already exceeded either the time or mileage limits, this extended warranty coverage will last through July 31, 2019.

Coverage is automatically transferred to subsequent owners.

REASON FOR PROVIDING EXTENDED WARRANTY COVERAGE

Some of the affected vehicles may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator Light (MIL) with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P040B and/or P040D. The vehicle may have a reduction of power as a result of a 30% de-rated Failure Mode Effects Management (FMEM). The engine continues to operate with full function of the power steering, power braking, lighting and climate control.

REASON FOR THIS PROGRAM

This program provides special service instructions and loaner equipment to expedite the repair of the air conditioning (a/c) system on affected vehicles, which may not have been properly evacuated prior to the refrigerant charge, leaving oil and air in the system. Over time, un-evacuated air in the a/c system may result in decreased a/c performance, including being slower to cool, slower to defog, and a/c compressor failure.
