TSB 16-0103 MANUAL TRANSMISSION – NO CRANK – BUILT ON OR BEFORE 6/15/2016

FORD: 2015-2017 Mustang

 

ISSUE:

Some 2015-2017 Mustang vehicles equipped with a manual transmission and built on or before 6/15/2016 may exhibit a no crank condition due to the clutch pedal position (CPP) switch being damaged.

 

ACTION:

Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition.

 

SERVICE PROCEDURE

  1. Inspect the CPP switch for physical damage. Is the CPP switch damaged?
    1. Yes – proceed to Step 2.
    1. No – this article does not apply.
  1. Install a new CPP switch and bracket. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 303-14. The switch includes a plastic bracket rotating the connector 90 degrees. (Figure 1)
