TSB 17-0001	RATTLE NOISE FROM THE ROOF OPENING PANEL SHIELD WHILE DRIVING OVER BUMPS

ISSUE:

Some 2011-2016 Expedition and Navigator vehicles may exhibit a rattle noise from the roof opening panel shield while driving over bumps.

ACTION:

Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

Does the vehicle exhibit a rattle from the roof opening panel that stops when applying light pressure on the panel?
1. Yes – proceed to Step 2.
2. No – refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 501-17 for normal diagnostics.
Install the roof opening panel shield repair kit. Refer to the installation instructions included with the kit.
