Headliner Sagging Along the Windshield or Rear Window Glass – 2012-2013 Ford F-150

HEADLINER SAGGING ALONG WINDSHIELD OR REAR WINDOW GLASS – BUILT ON OR BEFORE 11/4/2013

 

FORD: 2012-2013 F-150

 

2012-2013 F-150 vehicles built on or before 11/4/2013 may exhibit a headliner sagging concern along the windshield or rear window glass.

 

SERVICE PROCEDURE

  1. Is the vehicle equipped with a roof opening panel?
    1. Yes – this article does not apply.
    1. No – proceed to Step 2.
  1. Remove the headliner.
  1. Inspect the new headliner for presence of molded-in clips on the driver and passenger sides. Are the clips present? (Figure 1)
    1. Yes – using a razor-blade, modify the new headliner by removing the molded-in clips from the driver and passenger sides prior to installation. (Figure 2)
    1. No – proceed to Step 4.

  1. Route wiring harness on driver and passenger side as shown. (Figures 3 and 4)

  1. Position electrical connector C921 on the top/front side of the rear roof wiring harness attachment point if required. (Figure 5)

  1. Install headliner.
