Coolant Leak, Left or Right Radiator Side Tank Seams – 2012 Ford Transit Connect

TSB 14-0110 2.0L – COOLANT LEAK AT THE RADIATOR SIDE TANK SEAMS – BUILT ON 9/15/2011 AND THROUGH 8/20/2012

 

FORD: 2012 Transit Connect

 

ISSUE:

Some 2012 Transit Connect vehicles equipped with a 2.0L engine and built on 9/15/2011 and through 8/20/2012 may exhibit a coolant leak from the left or right radiator side tank seams.

 

This may be due to a leaking gasket between the tank and the radiator core.

 

ACTION:

Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition.

 

SERVICE PROCEDURE

  1. Visually inspect the radiator side tanks for evidence of a coolant leak. Is the left or right tank of the radiator leaking?
    1. No – this article does not apply. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 303-03 for normal diagnosis.
    1. Yes – replace the radiator. Refer to WSM, Section 303-03.
