2017 E-Series – Key In Ignition Warning Chime Without Key Inserted In Ignition – Built On Or Before 28-Sep-2016
Some 2017 E-Series vehicles built on or before 28-Sep-2016 may exhibit a key in ignition warning chime without a key inserted in the ignition.
Install an ignition repair kit.
Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 501-14.
This may be due to a bent key tab inside the ignition cylinder.
This only affects the warning chime, no other functionality is affected.
