SSM 46456 – 2017 F-Super Duty – 6.7L – Illuminated MIL – Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P06A6, P0193, P02E9, P0335, P0532 And/Or P2454 – Built On Or Before 07-Feb-17
Some 2017 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 6.7L engine and built on or before 07-Feb-17 may exhibit a illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) on with DTC P06A6, P0193, P02E9, P0335, P0532 And/or P2454.
This may be due to a concern with the reference voltage or signal return circuit of the crankshaft position sensor (CKP) wiring.
Inspect CKP sensor harness circuits approximately 381 mm (15 inches) from the CKP sensor connector for damage or evidence of being pinched.
If a wiring concern is found, repair as directed per wiring diagram section 5.
Use causal part 12B637 and utilize applicable labor operations from Section 10 of the service labor time standards (SLTS) Manual.
