2017 F-Super DutyChassis Cab And Pickup Box Delete – IPC Turn Signal Indicator Flashes Fast – No Inoperative Bulbs – Built On Or Before 27-Sep-2016

Some 2017 F-Super Duty chassis cab and pickup box delete vehicles built on or before 27-Sep-2016 may exhibit an instrument panel cluster (IPC) turn signal indicator flashing fast with no inoperative turn signal lamps.

 

This may be due to the body control module (BCM) not recognizing the usage of modified turn signal lighting which draws lower current and is detected as an inoperative turn signal lamp.

To correct this concern, use Integrated Diagnostic System (IDS) service tool version 103.03 or later to configure the front and rear turn lamp outage settings as required.

These settings can be found under toolbox > module programming > programmable parameters > exterior lighting.

Ford Module Programming (FMP) is a software application that allows subscribers to program electronic modules on Ford, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles. It can be used for:

  • Reprogramming emission-related (OBDII) modules on some vehicles manufactured in 1995 and all vehicles manufactured from 1996 to the present
  • Reprogramming or reconfiguring non-emission-related modules on many vehicles (UBP and MS-CAN not supported)

In addition, module initialization (PATS) functions such as Keycode Erase/Reprogram and PCM Parameter Reset can be done using this application.
