Summary
During PDI, 2017 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with tire pressure monitor system (TPMS) will exhibit an illuminated low tire pressure warning light and low tire pressure readout in the message center (if equipped) from the factory. Using a calibrated digital tire pressure gauge, adjust the tire pressure to specification and do not refer to the pressure displayed in the message center. During the PDI, the vehicle must be driven over 20 mph (32 kph) for at least 2 minutes to update the pressure displayed and turn off the tire pressure warning. It is not necessary to train or activate sensors with the service tool during PDI. If the TPMS low tire pressure warning is still present or message center pressure readout is inaccurate after completing the PDI road test, refer to the online Workshop Manual, Section 204-04B for normal diagnostics.
