2015-2017 MKC – Audio Digital Signal Processing Module (DSP) – DTC(s) B1A10, B1A11, B1045 And/Or B13FD With No Observable Audio Malfunction
Some 2015-2017 MKC vehicles equipped with a DSP module may exhibit diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) B1A10, B1A11, B1045 and/or B13FD with no observable audio malfunction after performing a DSP module on-demand self test. If any of these DTCs are present, perform the speaker walk around test.
Refer to bezel diagnostics in Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 415-00. If the speaker walk around test passes and no audio system malfunction is observed disregard the DTC(s).
These codes cannot be cleared from the DSP module.
If the speaker walk around test fails or an audio system malfunction is observed continue with normal diagnostics.
