And Lincoln Vehicles Equipped With SYNC 3 – Gen 1 Multi-Media Interface Tester (MIT) Not Compatible With SYNC 3
The SYNC 3 system in select 2016 and newer model year vehicles utilizes new hardware and software that is different from previous generations of SYNC.
The Rotunda 105-00120 GEN 1 Multi-Media Interface Tester (MIT) will not pair with the new SYNC 3 system for Bluetooth testing.
To test a SYNC 3 system use the Rotunda MIT 420-373 (105-00120-GEN2) or equivalent. The Workshop Manual (WSM) MIT information is being updated.
Refer to the appropriate WSM Section for SYNC 3 diagnostics and testing.
