ORIGINAL FORD ACCESSORY TAILGATE LINER WARPED

2015 F-150

 

ISSUE:

Some 2015 F-150 vehicles equipped with an original Ford accessory tailgate liner may exhibit a warped tailgate liner.

 

ACTION:

Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition.

 

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1. Is the original Ford accessory tailgate liner warped?
   1. No – this article does not apply.
   2. Yes – proceed to step 2.
2. Inspect the tailgate liner outer edges. (Figure 1)

3. Have the outer edges of the tailgate liner been modified?
   1. No – proceed to Step 4.
   2. Yes – this procedure does not apply.
4. Install a tailgate liner replacement kit. Refer to Section 3 – Warranty Coverages – Service Parts Warranty, of the Warranty and Policy Manual for ordering instructions.
   1. Refer to the installation instruction sheet included in the kit.

Eligible Under Provisions Of New Vehicle Limited Warranty Coverage.
