2017 F-Super Duty – 6.2L V8 Gas Engine – Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) On With Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P163F – Engineering Investigation
Some 2017 F-Super Duty equipped with 6.2L OHC V8 Gas Engines may exhibit illuminated Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) with DTC P163F (Transmission ID Block Corrupted, Not Programmed) stored in Powertrain Control Module (PCM) memory.
Clear Diagnostic Trouble Code.
Key off ignition for (5) minutes to allow PCM to power down.
If DTC P163F returns, do not install a new PCM.
Engineering is currently investigating.
