2017 F-Super Duty – 6.7L – Illuminated Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) With Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P0402
Some 2017 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 6.7L engine may exhibit an illuminated MIL with DTC P0402 in the powertrain control module (PCM).
When performing pinpoint test W in the Powertrain Control/Emissions Diagnosis (PC/ED) manual,if directed to perform step W10, disregard and proceed to step W11.
Integrated Diagnostic System (IDS) currently displays incorrect data for PIDs EGR_A_ACT (PER) and EGRPDES that step W10 uses.
The IDS scan tool will be updated to correct this concern.
