2014-2015 Transit Connect – BXT-40R And BXT-96R-590 
Battery
There are two possible service batteries available for 2014, 2015 Transit Connect vehicles.
The recommended part number BXT-40R is a direct replacement that will fit into the existing battery tray configuration.

Part number BXT-96R-590 is an alternative that requires replacement of the existing battery tray spacers with the following: remove the existing rear spacer and replace it with service part number CV6Z-10A652-A.
Place the battery in the middle of the tray and add a front spacer service part number 4N5Z-10A652-A.
These spacers must be used to properly align and secure the battery in its tray.
Torque the 2 hold down nuts to 71 lb.in (8 Nm).
