Summary
Some 2020 Escape/Corsair vehicles equipped with a roof opening panel may exhibit a bounce back when closing. This may be more noticeable when the engine is running. This may be due to the glass panel adjustment. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure steps to adjust the roof opening panel glass.

Issue: Some 2020 Escape/Corsair vehicles equipped with a roof opening panel may exhibit a bounce back when closing. This may be more noticeable when the engine is running. This may be due to the glass panel adjustment. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure steps to adjust the roof opening panel glass.
Action: Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition on vehicles that meet all of the following criteria:
- 2020 Escape/Corsair
- Roof opening panel bounces back when closing
Service Procedure
1. Adjust the roof opening panel glass by loosening the 6 set screws. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 501-17.
2. Adjusting the glass so that the glass contacts both the front and rear seals.
3. Set the glass height/flushness on the right front corner and tighten the right front corresponding set screw to hold the glass in that position. Refer to WSM, Section 501-17 for proper height/flushness.
(1). Tighten the set screws to 6 Nm (53 lb-in).
4. Repeat the flushness adjustment for the right rear, left front and left rear and tighten the corresponding adjustment set screw.
(1). Tighten the set screws to 6 Nm (53 lb-in).
5. Tighten the 2 center adjustment set screws.
(1). Tighten the set screws to 6 Nm (53 lb-in).
6. Perform a power roof opening panel initialization. Refer to WSM, Section 501-17.
