Improperly Secured Clutch Pressure Line
A melted clutch pressure line can result in a loss of drive power, increases the risk of a crash. A brake fluid leak increases the risk of fire in the presence of an ignition source.

Ford
Motor Company (Ford
) is recalling certain 2024 Mustang
vehicles. The clutch pressure line may be improperly secured and contact hot exhaust components, which can result in melting of the clutch pressure line and cause a brake fluid leak.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect the clutch pressure line and repair it as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed June 17, 2024. Owners may contact Ford
customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford

Chronology :
On April 30, 2024, an issue pertaining to two reports of underhood fire allegations on 2024 model year Mustang
vehicles with manual transmissions was brought to Ford
’s Critical Concern Review Group for review.
Ford
’s CCRG conducted inspections of both vehicles to understand the cause of the underhood fires.
On May 24, 2024, Ford
’s Field Review Committee reviewed the concern and approved a field action.
As of May 24, 2024, Ford
’s CCRG is aware of two potentially related reports of underhood fire, and one potentially related report of smoke underhood. Ford
is not aware of any reports of accident or injury related to this condition.
