Some 2013-2014 C-MAX vehicles built on or before 7/21/2014 and 2013-2014 Fusion and MKZ Hybrid vehicles built on or before 7/14/2014 may exhibit an illuminated MIL with DTC P0456, P0457, P04EE and/or P04EF.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
- Reprogram the powertrain control module (PCM) to the latest calibration using IDS or Ford
J2534 release 92.03 or higher. Make sure you are connected to the internet when entering module programming to obtain the latest updates. Calibration files may also be obtained at www.motorcraftservice.com. - Replace the evaporative emission canister purge valve.
