| NOISE FROM FRONT WHILE TURNING STEERING WHEEL |
2005-2007 Five Hundred, Freestyle and Montego vehicles may exhibit a noise coming from the front of the vehicle while turning the steering wheel at speed lower than 10 MPH (16 Km/h). This noise may be coming from the upper strut mount.
This condition is not related to noise when hitting bumps, noise at full lock turns or noise during a turn while the steering wheel is being held stationary.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
Replace the existing strut mount with a revised service part.
NOTE: INSTALL ALL NEW FASTENERS DURING REASSEMBLY.
NOTE: MAKE NOTE OF THE NOTCH AND ARROW POSITION ON OLD STRUT MOUNT AND INSTALL NEW MOUNT IN THE SAME POSITION. VEHICLE ALIGNMENT IS NOT REQUIRED AFTER THIS REPAIR.
