Issue: Some 2021-2023 F-150 vehicles may exhibit an illuminated airbag indicator light that may be accompanied by diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) U3000:41 and/or U3000:54 in the occupant classification system module (OCSM) and/or B00A0:09, B00A0:63, B00A0:64 and/or B00A0:68 in the restraints control module (RCM). To correct this condition, follow the Service Procedure steps to perform the battery condition test and repair the vehicle as necessary.

Service Procedure
1. Perform a battery condition test and service the battery as necessary. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables, Diagnosis and Testing.
2. Clear and retest DTCs. Does the vehicle have DTC U3000:41 and/or U3000:54 stored in the OCSM?
(1). Yes – replace the OCSM. Refer to WSM, Section 501-20 Supplemental Restraint System, Removal and Installation. Proceed to Step 3.
(2). No – proceed to Step 3.
3. Clear and retest DTCs. Did any DTCs return?
(1). Yes – refer to WSM for additional diagnostics outside of this article.
(2). No – repair is complete.
