Summary
Some 2022 Maverick vehicles built on or before 3-Aug-2022 may exhibit a flutter or rattle noise in the hood while driving above 80 mph (129 km/h). This may be due to a gap between the hood and the weather strip located in the cowl panel grille. To correct this condition, follow the Service Procedure to diagnose and install a foam tape in the cowl panel grille.

Issue: Some 2022 Maverick vehicles built on or before 3-Aug-2022 may exhibit a flutter or rattle noise in the hood while driving above 80 mph (129 km/h). This may be due to a gap between the hood and the weather strip located in the cowl panel grille. To correct this condition, follow the Service Procedure to diagnose and install a foam tape in the cowl panel grille.
Action: Follow the Service Procedure to correct the condition on vehicles that meet all of the following criteria:
- • 2022 Maverick
- • Built on or before 3-Aug-2022
- • Flutter/rattle noise in the hood coming from the right front section of the cowl panel grille while driving above 80 mph (129 km/h)
