ISSUE:
Some 2015 F-150 SuperCrew vehicles built on or before 4/27/2015 and equipped with a rear seat center armrest may exhibit a concern where the armrest does not stow flush with the rear seat back.
ACTION:
Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
- Inspect the rear seat center armrest to be sure the stowage pocket is clear of obstructions and verify the concern.
- Remove the left hand (LH) rear seat backrest cover and foam pad. Refer to the Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 501-10.
- Using a razor blade or similar tool cut two 10 mm x 10 mm x 100 mm (13/32″ x 13/32″ x 4″) trenches into both upper corners of the armrest pocket in the rear seat backrest foam pad. (Figure 1)

- Replace the LH rear seat backrest cover with the latest level service part, reusing the modified foam pad. Refer to the WSM, Section 501-10.
