2013-2016 MKZ – Multiple MS CAN Network Codes With Intermittent Driver Seat, BLIS, Door Locks, Windows, MLT Inop, And/Or Open Fuse F53
2013-2016 MKZ vehicles equipped with optional Multi-Contour Front Seats with Active Motion, can exhibit various MS CAN U-codes along with multiple electrical items associated with MS CAN being intermittently inoperative such as, BLIS, MyLincoln Touch functions, navigation, driver seat massage, power seat functions, or windows and locks intermittently inoperative.
Fuse F53 may also be open. Possible DTCs may include U0010, U0140, U0146, U0155, U016A, U0199, U0200, U024B,U024C, U0256, or B1471.
This may be due to a shorted harness in the seat back of the driver’s seat on the lower left seat back frame 5-13 cm (2-5 inches) from connector C3385.
Re-route the harness or install felt tape around the metal edge, and repair the wiring as necessary using applicable wiring repair labor ops from Section 10 of the SLTS Manual.
