2015 Edge Equipped With 2.7L EcoBoost Engine – Check Engine Light And Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P0299
2015 Edge vehicles equipped with a 2.7L EcoBoost engine can exhibit a check engine light and DTC P0299 setting in the Powertrain Control Module (PCM).
Prior to performing normal diagnostics, inspect the Right Hand (RH) Charge Air Cooler (CAC) intake pipe going from the RH turbo to the CAC for a loose or misaligned clamp and/or a disconnected CAC intake pipe at the upper connection of the CAC on the driver’s side of the vehicle.
If the clamp is not loose or improperly aligned and the CAC intake pipe is not disconnected from the CAC, continue with normal diagnostics listed in the Powertrain Controls and Emissions Diagnostics (PC/ED) manual.
