| HEADLINER RATTLE OR SAG AROUND THE ROOF OPENING PANEL |

2013-2015 Fusion and MKZ vehicles equipped with a roof opening panel may exhibit a headliner rattle or sagging condition around the roof opening panel.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
- Remove the headliner.
- Using a pen or equivalent, mark on the headliner the locations of the holes that do not have an adequate amount of glue in the area where the roof opening panel trim ring has separated from the headliner. (Figure 1)
Figure 1 - Using 3M Super-Fast Repair Adhesive or equivalent, lift the section of the plastic trim ring that has separated and place a bead of adhesive connecting the marks created in Step 2. After applying the glue for no longer than 10 seconds or about a 25 cm (10 inch) long section, hold the trim ring to the headliner until the glue sets. (Figures 2-3)

Figure 3- 3M Super-Fast Repair Adhesive has a work time of 20 seconds. If 25 cm (10 inches) or more of the trim ring has separated from the headliner, requiring 10 seconds or more of glue application, do a section at a time and proceed to Step 4 on the opposite side of the trim ring. Return to gluing under the separated section after 1 minute of hold time.
- The adhesive inside the mixing nozzle hardens after 20 seconds of unuse. A new mixing nozzle will be needed if additional glue application is required.
- Place a dab of adhesive in each hole around the trim ring. (Figure 4)

- Place a dab of adhesive in each hole and around the outer edge of the black plastic overhead console bin.
- If equipped with active noise cancelling (ANC), place a bead of adhesive around the microphone bezel. (Figure 5)
