Issue: Some 2021-2022 Mustang Mach-E vehicles may exhibit a concern where the front luggage compartment hood is hard to close due to air becoming trapped in the front luggage compartment while closing the hood, increasing the closing effort.
Action: Follow the Service Procedure to correct the condition on vehicles that meet all of the following criteria:
- 2021-2022 Mustang Mach-E
- Front luggage closing efforts
Service Procedure
To properly close the front luggage compartment hood, apply closing force as the hood is lowered. Verify the hood is fully closed. Allowing the hood to close on its own weight may not be enough effort to properly latch the front luggage compartment hood. No additional adjustments are required for the hood/latch.
