2011-2014 6.7L F-Super Duty Built On Or Before 11/06/2013 – Instrument Panel Cluster Drive To Clean Exhaust System Message After PCM update From FSA 14E03
2011-2014 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 6.7L diesel engine and built on or before 11/6/2013 can exhibit a “Drive To Clean Exhaust System” in the IPC after completing FSA 14E03.
Service Tip: Ensure to Perform a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) Manual Regeneration and DPF Parameter Reset to clear this message.
The adaptive learn tables for the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) are not reset during PCM reprogramming and will need to be reset/cleared to prevent this message from being set falsely.
Reset/clear the DPF parameter tables and perform the DPF Manual Regeneration with Integrated Diagnostic Service (IDS) tool or equivalent Scan Tool by selecting the following:
Toolbox, Powertrain, Service Functions, Diesel Particulate Regeneration System, DPF Parameter Reset and DPF Manual Regeneration.
