2015 Transit equipped with 3.2L Diesel Engine – Engine Crank Timing Tool Update
Crankshaft timing tool 303-1587 originally provided in ESST TKIT-2014C-FL was incorrectly manufactured and will not properly time the engine (potentially resulting in damage if utilized).
The incorrect 303-1587 tool has a zinc (silver) finish and should not be used.
Replacement Crankshaft timing tools will be provided to all original tool kit recipients by February 2015, with return instructions for the incorrect tool.
The (correct) 303-1587 replacement tools will bear the same tool number 303-1587, but will have a black oxide finish.
