Issue: Some 2021-2022 Bronco vehicles equipped with a hard top may exhibit a loose and/or sagging headliner. This may be due to the factory installation process. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to re-adhere the headliner.
Action: Follow the Service Procedure to correct the condition on vehicles that meet all of the following criteria:
- 2021-2022 Bronco
- Equipped with a hard top roof
- Loose and/or sagging headliner

Service Procedure
1. Inspect the interior headliner. Is the headliner loose and/or sagging? (Figure 1)

(1). Yes – proceed to Step 2.
(2). No – this article does not apply.
2. Use gloves and a sponge to apply 3M™ 4298UV Adhesion Promoter on the area where the headliner is not adhered to the hard top. Make sure to not extend the adhesion promoter outside of the headliner area. (Figure 2)

3. Press the headliner back into position and hold for at least 40 seconds to allow the adhesive to set. (Figure 3)

4. Does the headliner properly adhere to the roof with no visible gaps? (Figure 4)

(1). Yes – repair is complete.
(2). No – replace the affected headliner.
