Remanufactured AX4N And 4F50N Transmissions Now Shipped With A Pre-Installed Modified Vent And Hose Kit
Remanufactured AX4N and 4F50N transmissions used in 2001-2003 Windstar and 2004-2007 Freestar/Monterey vehicles are now shipped with a pre-installed modified vent and hose kit.
The kit will help prevent water intrusion into the transmission by relocating the open end of the vent to a higher level within the engine compartment.
During transmission installation, refer to the instruction sheet included in the kit for proper vent hose routing and installation.
NOTICE: If the Vent Hose is not installed properly, the risk of water entering the transmission may be increased.
