This may be due to an excessive gap between the side mirror and mirror cap assemblies. An improved version of the mirror cap has been released for service. To correct this condition, replace the mirror cap with service base part number 17D743. Refer to the parts catalog for the VIN specific application.

Some 2021 Broncos equipped with the Base, Big Bend, Black Diamond and/or Badlands trim levels built on or before 23-Jun-2021 may exhibit a whistle type noise coming from the drivers side mirror area of the vehicle. This may be caused by an excessive gap between the exterior mirror cover and glass housings. If the source of the noise is coming from the drivers door mirror assembly an updated exterior mirror cover is available to correct this condition.

Some 2021 Broncos equipped with the Base, Big Bend, Black Diamond and/or Badlands trim levels may exhibit a whistle noise coming from the drivers side mirror area of the vehicle. This may be due to an excessive gap between the exterior mirror cover and the glass housing. This condition does not affect vehicle durability and no additional diagnosis or service is required for this condition at this time. Inform customers that they can continue to drive the vehicle and engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition that is expected in October 2021. Replacement of the mirror and/or mirror cover will not resolve this condition. Monitor OASIS for additional information and schedule service appointments for customers once the repair becomes available.
