Climate Control Temperature Will Not Adjust With Clicking/Snapping Noise From The Dash – 2019-2020 Ford Ranger

NHTSA ID Number: 10230940

Manufacturer Communication Number: SSM 51313

Summary

Some 2019-2020 Ranger vehicles built on or before 30-Jul-2020 may experience poor and/or no temperature change when the temperature is adjusted in the climate control system. There may also be a clicking/snapping noise from behind the instrument panel. Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) B1082 and/or B1081 may also be retrieved from the front controls interface module (FCIM). This may be due to an issue with the blend door and its controls. To avoid repeat repairs, replace the air distribution housing/heater assembly (service base part# 18478). Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 412-00. Do not replace the evaporator core for this condition. The WSM has been updated to reflect this change. For claiming use causal part 18478 and use applicable labor operations in Section 11 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.

Bestseller No. 1
ZeroR® Permafrost for R1234YF AC Systems | Performance Booster | 3 Cans + 24" HD Can Tap Gauge
  • PERFORMANCE BOOSTER CHARGE KIT - ZeroR is a performance booster for use with R1234YF AC systems. You can use as many cans in your system as you wish, while being sure not to overfill the system with the included can tap with gauge.
  • KIT CONTENTS - The can tap is 24 in length with a gauge metered for R1234YF systems. Standard R1234YF can taps will not work on ZeroR branded R1234YF cans, because our cans have a unique thread. 3 cans of ZeroR Permafrost in 4oz cans.
  • NOT A Full Refrigerant - This product is a support fluid performance booster. It is a combination of two ZeroR products in one. The first part removes moisture (moisture can cause damage and reduced performance in the system), and the second part reduces friction (friction can reduce refrigerant flow and cause compressor damage)
  • 24 in Charging Hose with Can Tap & Gauge - New longer 24 inch connection hose accomodates those harder to reach low side ports that were previously difficult to reach with a shorter 12 inch hose.
  • 10 MINUTE INSTALL - Easy instructions are included and will take as little as 10 minutes to complete.

  • ACCESS HARD-TO-REACH PORTS: The 24-inch heavy-duty brass can tap with a gauge, making refilling your AC system easier. The R1234yf refrigerant kit’s extended hose reaches tight, hard-to-access low-side ports that shorter hoses can't, ensuring a hassle-free process
  • ENSURE PEAK AC EFFICIENCY: This kit includes 1 AC recharge can of authentic HFO-R1234YF refrigerant, sourced from authorized suppliers in the USA. Designed for use in R1234YF systems, this refrigerant ensures your vehicle's AC operates at peak efficiency
  • ERROR-FREE TOOL CONNECTIONS: The R1234yf refrigerant can tap features a reverse-thread design, ensuring only compatible tools connect to the R1234YF can. This prevents errors, making it safe to connect the refrigerant and perform without risk of incompatibility
  • PRECISE REFRIGERANT EVERY TIME: Each refrigerant R-1234yf can contains 8oz of refrigerant, measured by weight for accuracy. Simply use the right amount every time. Most systems require 2-3 cans, and this kit provides everything for a quick, effective recharge
