Issue: Some 2015-2019 Edge, 2016-2018 MKX, and 2019 Nautilus vehicles equipped with all wheel drive (AWD) may exhibit a fuel slosh noise primarily when the fuel tank is over 3/4 full and when driving at low speeds. This may be due to the fuel moving around in the fuel tank.
Action: Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition.

Service Procedure
1. Is the customer concern a fuel slosh noise coming from underneath the vehicle that occurs primarily when the fuel tank is around 3/4 full and when driving at low speeds?
(1). Yes – go to Step 2.
(2). No – this article does not apply. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 100-04 for normal diagnostics.
2. Raise the vehicle on a hoist. Refer to WSM, Section 310-01.
3. Support the fuel tank using a powertrain lift.
4. Remove and discard the fuel tank straps and fasteners.
5. Install new fuel tank straps and fasteners.
(1). Tighten bolts to 25 +/- 3.8 Nm (18 +/- 2.8 lb-ft.).
