Issue: Some 2013-2018 Escape and 2015-2018 MKC vehicles may exhibit a fuel slosh noise during low speed parking lot maneuvers and/or when coming to a stop. The concern may be more noticeable when the fuel level in the tank is 3/4 to full.
Action: Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition.

Service Procedure
1. Drive the vehicle and perform low speed parking lot maneuvers. Does the vehicle exhibit a fuel slosh noise during the parking lot maneuvers and/or when coming to a stop?
(1). Yes – proceed to Step 2.
(2). No – this article does not apply. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 100-04 for normal diagnostics.
2. Remove and discard the fuel tank straps and fasteners. Refer to WSM, Section 310-01.
(1). It is not necessary to depressurize the fuel system, drain the fuel tank, disconnect the fuel lines and remove the fuel tank to replace the straps.
3. Install new straps, isolator assemblies and fasteners.
4. To install, reverse the removal procedure. Refer to WSM, Section 310-01.
