Replacement engines may have a fuel injection pump sprocket that does not include a keyway slot. It is acceptable to utilize the original fuel injection pump if it has a keyway slot. Timing the injection pump is not necessary. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 303-04C removal and installation fuel injection pump and disregard align the sprocket key wording.
