Issue: Some 2018 Expedition/Navigator vehicles built on or before 8-Dec-2017 may exhibit a fuel filler door that is not flush with the rear quarter panel when closed.
Action: Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition.
Warranty Status: Eligible Under Provisions Of New Vehicle Limited Warranty Coverage Warranty/ESP coverage limits/policies/prior approvals are not altered by a TSB. Warranty/ESP coverage limits are determined by the identified causal part and verified using the OASIS part coverage tool.

Service Procedure
1. Was the vehicle built on or before 8-Dec-2017?
(1). Yes – proceed to Step 2.
(2). No – this article does not apply. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 501-03.
2. Remove the fuel filler door. Refer to WSM, Section 501-03.
3. Using a soft cloth, lay the fuel filler door down so the inside surface is facing up.
4. Locate the raised rectangular area on the inside surface of the fuel filler door. (Figure 1)

5. Using a small rotary grinding tool or equivalent, grind away the raised material in this area.
6. Remove material until the raised area is flat to the entire adjacent surface.
7. Reinstall fuel filler door to vehicle. Refer to WSM, Section 501-03.
