Summary
Some 2018 E-350/E-450 vehicles built on 23-Jul-2018 and through 24-Jul-2018 may exhibit increased steering effort, excessive power steering noise, and/or discolored power steering fluid. This may be caused by excessively aerated power steering fluid. If pink aerated fluid is found in the power steering reservoir, do not replace any power steering components such as the power steering gear, pump, cooler, or lines for this condition. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 211-00 – General Procedures – Power Steering System Flushing to correct the concern.
