2016-2017 Multiple Vehicles – 2.0L/2.3L GTDI – Illuminated Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) With Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P0001
Some 2016-2017 vehicles equipped with a 2.0L or 2.3L Gasoline Turbocharged Direct Injection (GTDI) engine may exhibit an illuminated MIL with DTC P0001.
This may be due to a loose high-pressure fuel pump connector.
Before attempting any component diagnosis or replacement of the high-pressure fuel pump, confirm that the pins are engaged in connector C1589 and connector is fully engaged and locked on the high-pressure fuel pump.
