2013-2017 Focus Electric – Cooling System Has Coolant Filter That Needs Replacement During Major Repairs
2013-2017 Focus Electric vehicles need to have the coolant filter replaced after major repairs including, when replacing the coolant for scheduled maintenance (10 years/150,000 miles), after a vehicle collision damages the radiator enough to require radiator replacement, if the coolant pump fails and there are impeller fragments in the coolant, high voltage battery replacements and/or repairs.
Failure to replace the coolant filter may lead to repeat repairs, and possible future charge backs, due to not following the proper procedures.

Install a new coolant filter: Base part number 8A424.
