SSM 46348 – 2017 Fusion – 1.5L – Premature Shut Off And/Or Spit Back During Refueling
Some 2017 Fusion vehicles equipped with 1.5L engines and a rotary dial shifter may exhibit premature shut off or spit-back during refueling.
This concern may be due to the customer turning the ignition off without placing the rotary PRNDS dial in the P position, relying on the vehicle auto-shift to park feature.
Remind customers to check that the vehicle is in park before turning the vehicle off.
Engineering is currently investigating this concern.
No repairs should be attempted at this time. Monitor OASIS for updates.
