SSM 46341 – Various Vehicles – 2.7L Or 3.0L EcoBoost – Correct Reassembly Procedure After Crankshaft Pulley Removal
When servicing a 2.7L or 3.0L EcoBoost engine, if the crankshaft pulley is removed, correct reassembly is critical to prevent potential engine failure.
This includes installing a new crankshaft pulley bolt and accurately performing each stage of the crankshaft pulley bolt torque sequence.
Crankshaft pulley related Workshop Manual (WSM) procedure and recommended tool (OTC 4754 or equivalent) information have been updated.
Refer to the applicable WSM, Section 303-01, for additional information.
