2014-2017 Transit Connect – Low Beam Headlamp Bulb Burned Out

Some 2014-2017 Transit Connect vehicles may exhibit low beam headlamp bulb burnout, in which the bulb connector is also damaged.

This concern is under investigation.

Do not replace the headlamp assembly.

To service, use pigtail kit 8U2Z-14S411-GA

Do not shorten the wires on the pigtail kit, so they can act as a heatsink to draw heat away from the bulb.

A new part and procedure is being developed.
