2016-2017 Transit – Full-Size Hubcap Damage During Pre-Delivery Installation
Some 2016-2017 Transit full-size hubcaps may be damaged or cracked during pre-delivery installation or a repair procedure due to misalignment of the hubcap.
To avoid damage, align the valve stem opening in the hubcap with the valve stem, confirming the lug nut tubes on the back of the hubcap are aligned with the lug nuts.
Using a mallet gently tap the hubcap around the outer diameter; avoid hitting the center of the hubcap during installation.
