2015-2017 F-650/750 – Oil Residue Present On Front Wheel Bearing Hubs
Some 2015-2017 F-650/750 vehicles may exhibit oil residue on or around the front hub bearing caps.
The cap includes either a blue or red purge valve.
Light residue from the valve is normal and does not indicate a bearing cap or gasket concern.
Excessive wetness or leaking from the blue or red purge valve will occur if the hub has been overfilled during a previous service or repair.
The correct fill quantity and procedure is provided within the wheel bearing adjustment procedure.
