2016 Fusion/MKZ/C-Max – Rear Trunk Rattle – HV Battery Cooling Fan Operation Wind Noise – DTC P0A7E – FHEV Only – Built On 11/1/2015 And Through 12/7/2015
Some 2016 Fusion/MKZ/C-Max full hybrid (FHEV) only vehicles built on 11/1/2015 and through 12/7/2015 may exhibit a rear trunk vibration/rattle noise when traveling over bumps or a wind or whistle noise during the operation of the high voltage battery cooling fan.
A new nut W701694-S442 is now available and should be used along with green Loctite 290 if the far right attaching nut towards the passenger side of the HV battery cooling fan air duct is found to be loose or missing.
