2009-2015 Vehicles Equipped With 6R80 Transmission – New Foam Seal Available – Lead Frame To Shift Solenoid Connection
Starting in 2015, vehicles equipped with a 6R80 transmission may be equipped with a foam seal (FL3Z-14B167-A) installed between the electrical connection of the shift solenoids and the lead frame.
The seal helps keep electrical contacts clean and protected from potential contamination.
When servicing a 2009-2015 6R80 transmission the seal should be installed to help ensure the quality of repair and prevent repeat repairs.
This seal is considered a one time use item.
Always install a new seal when working on the 6R80 transmission.
