2014-2016 Transit Connect, Auto Relock Feature
2014-2016 Transit Connect vehicles are equipped with an “auto relock” feature.
If you press the unlock button on the remote control and do not open a door within 45 seconds, your vehicle locks and the alarm (if equipped) arms.
This is a security feature to avoid leaving the vehicle opened with an unintentional touch of the key fob unlock button.
This is a product characteristic and cannot be disabled at this time.
- Remote Start Vehicle System

- Panic mode will sound alarm (optional) and flash your parking lights
- Valet mode will not arm the security system with the remote transmitter
- Valet take-over allows the vehicle to remain running after the key has been removed from the vehicle
