ISSUE:
Some 2015 MKC vehicles equipped with the THX audio system may exhibit a popping noise from the speakers with the information and entertainment system set at low volume and high bass when using a USB or bluetooth media device.
ACTION:
Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
- Does a popping noise from the speakers occur with the information and entertainment system set at low volume and high bass when using a USB or bluetooth device?
- Yes – proceed to step 2.
- No – this article does not apply. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 415-00 for normal diagnostics.
- Replace the Audio Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Module. Refer to WSM, Section 415-00.
