2011-2016 F-Super Duty Equipped With 6.7L Diesel Engine – Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) On With – DTC’s: P208E, P20E8, P218F – Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF)
2011-2016 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with 6.7L Diesel engine can exhibit MIL on with DTC’s P208E, P20E8, P218F stored in Powertrain Control Module (PCM) memory with/without DTC P204F.
Results of Selective Catalyst Reductant (SCR) dosing RK7 measurement test may be zero or below specified 45-55mL requirement due to urea crystals forming on the DEF injector nozzle.
Note: If the measurement is below the specified amount and to remove these crytals, make sure to refer to Powertrain Control Emissions Diagnostics (PCED) pinpoint test (PPT) RK7 and perform the PPT up to four additional times, until the dosing measurement is met; reinstall the reductant injector.
If the dosing measurement remains below the specified 45-55 mL requirement, the DEF injector should be replaced.
The DEF pump should not be replaced for DTC P208E.
