2010-2012 Edge, MKX, Flex, MKS, MKT, Taurus With 6F50/6F55 Transmission – Harsh Downshift After Overhauling Transmission
When using the Motorcraft Overhaul kit MTKV-K5600-A or AU2Z-7V575-A on a 2010-2012 Edge, MKX, Flex, MKS, MKT, Taurus with 6F50/6F55 transmission, the kit contains the wrong valve body separator plate for these vehicles.
If you are about to use a Motorcraft Overhaul kit for non-warranty repairs on a 2010-2012 Edge, MKX, Flex, MKS, MKT, or Taurus, discard the 7Z490 valve body separator plate that goes between the valve body and solenoid body that is in the kit and use part number BT4Z-7Z490-B plate.
Failure to do so could cause harsh downshifts after the repair is completed.
